Russian propagandists continue their campaign to discredit the mobilization process in Ukraine. The other day, a video was shared on the Tik-Tok social network, where it seems that at one of the checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Polish border, the TCC does not let women in, because they are checking for “the presence of an evasive husband in the family.”
However, in reality, this is nonsense, and the video recorded a completely different incident. We tell the details of this fake later in the material.
Fake
The video that went viral shows a man in uniform and a crowd of women having an emotional conversation. “Media: women are not allowed on the Polish-Ukrainian border due to TCC checks. It is reported that employees of military enlistment offices are checking Ukrainian women for the presence of male bowers in their families,” the text superimposed on the video says in the original language.
In the video, you can also see the logo of the TV channel “Soviet. Lviv”, date – 26.06.24 and location – PE “Hrushiv-Budomyezh”. This data allows you to quickly find the original source of the video, which we did.
It was published in the telegram channel “Social. Lviv”. http://surl.li/yqyiai
As it turned out, the situation shown in the video really happened on the border with Poland, but it was in no way connected with the mobilization processes. So, on June 26, due to technical malfunctions, namely the setting of the online database, the “Hrushiv-Budomyezh” checkpoint suspended work and people stood in line for more than 12 hours. Because of this, a conflict arose, which was captured on video. The women were outraged by the fact that they were not approached earlier and did not explain why they were not allowed through. http://surl.li/seowdd
The news did not contain any information about the TCC or the “search for evaders”. Moreover, the bus with passengers was going to Ukraine, and not abroad, as the propagandists are trying to convince in their video. And the man with whom the women are arguing is an employee of the border service, not a representative of the TCC.
CONCLUSIONS
The incident in the video has nothing to do with mobilization, and the women did not try to leave abroad, but on the contrary – went to Ukraine. Moreover, currently there are no restrictions for women to travel abroad, even if their husbands are not on military registration. http://surl.li/izdplg
The propaganda machine tries to use the negative image of the TCC (after all, incidents and unpleasant situations involving TCC employees do happen, and this is not a secret) and spreads similar scaremongering in order to sow panic and fear among the population, cause distrust and anger towards the authorities and disrupt mobilization.
