One of the directions of attacks of Russian propagandists is the Ukrainian Peace Formula. For its next fake, agitprop decided not to invent a bicycle, but resorted to “good old” falsifications of the covers of world publications.
The French satirical newspaper “Charlie Hebdo” fell into the hands of the Russians again. In social networks, propagandists spread the supposedly real cover of the latest newspaper extract with a caricature of the Ukrainian Peace Formula. But such a cover does not actually exist. The details of this fake are in the material.
FAKE
The caricature with a seemingly real cover depicts the body parts of the Ukrainian military, folded in the shape of a car wheel, – they say, only at the cost of the lives of the Ukrainian military, the Ukrainian authorities see the achievement of peace.
“The magazine Charlie Hebdo makes fun of the Ukrainian peace formula, it’s not funny only to Ukrainians,” the propagandists write in the original language.
The cover, which was distributed by the Russians, was allegedly published under the number 1682 and dated October 11, 2024. However, Charlie Hebdo newspaper did not actually publish such an issue. The newspaper is published once a week, and according to the publication’s website, the last issue is dated October 9, 2024 (No. 1681) and its cover is dedicated to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, not the Ukrainian Peace Formula. http://surl.li/jyyqjk
Accordingly, the next issue – #1682 – which is indicated on the fake cover of the propagandists, will be released on October 16. The publication does not have an issue for October 11 at all. http://surl.li/hklwtq
As we mentioned at the beginning, this is not the first time that propagandists have faked the covers of international publications, including the Charlie Hebdo newspaper. Our team has exposed dozens of such fake submissions. In particular, about Ukrainian weapons in the hands of Hamas militants http://surl.li/fwscaa
In addition, the Russians faked the cover with Zelensky and the sunken Titan http://surl.li/hkezmq and the cover with an allusion to Macron sending the French to war in Ukraine. http://surl.li/hathqy
CONCLUSIONS
Therefore, the French newspaper did not publish any cover with a caricature of the Ukrainian Peace Formula. Propagandists turned to this topic not by chance, because in November, during the second Peace Summit, Ukraine must present the text of the Peace Formula with all the conditions for a just end to the war. This was announced by President Zelensky during his speech at the third “Ukraine – Southeastern Europe” summit in Croatia. http://surl.li/xdpjms
The purpose of such messages is to create the illusion that Ukraine’s desire for a just peace does not have support in the international arena. In addition, such fakes are spread with the aim of demoralizing Ukrainians with the narrative of a war to the “last Ukrainian”.
