Medvedchuk’s channels and the OPZZh party have always been and remain an explosive mixture of propaganda. Currently, one of the top topics in Ukraine is vaccination, so propagandists are actively using it in the information space. Natalia Korolevska, People’s Deputy of Ukraine, member of the “OPZZH” parliamentary faction, stated on the air of the channel “Zik” at the forum of leaders of local self-government of Donetsk region on February 25, 2021 that “doctors are worried in the Donetsk region. We appeal to the government, because it is impossible to allow forced vaccination in the country, because it will undermine people’s confidence in the vaccine and ultimately demoralize our doctors. ” Let’s find out if there really is a document on compulsory vaccination or if it is another case of manipulation.
MESSAGE: “Physicians in the Donetsk region are worried that an order has been issued for mandatory vaccination of doctors today. We appeal to the government because it is impossible to allow forced vaccination in the country, because it will undermine people’s trust in the vaccine and ultimately demoralize our doctors. “
First. At the WHO briefing (20:42) on December 7, 2020, Catherine O’Brien, Director of the WHO Department of Immunization, stated that “I do not think that demanding is the direction to move, especially with vaccines. People should be able to decide for themselves whether to use the vaccine. ” Also, Michael Ryan, WHO’s director of emergency, said that “governments should not force people to get vaccinated, but convince them of the need for it.”
Second. Representatives of the Ukrainian government have repeatedly made statements about voluntary vaccination:
On February 23, 2021, the website of the Office of the President of Ukraine published a statement that “vaccination should begin as soon as possible, as soon as the regions receive the first batches. But it must be voluntary — no force should be imposed, it is better to inform people in detail about the proper quality of the drug.
Viktor Lyashko, Deputy Minister of Health and Chief Sanitary Doctor, said in an interview (20:49) with Kateryna Bulavinova, a UNICEF medical expert in Ukraine, on February 4, 2021, that “I would like to tell all health professionals that there will be no compulsory vaccination, only voluntary. If there are signals that bonuses and extra payment are taken away from those doctors who refuse to be vaccinated, please let us know, we will tell your managers that this is unacceptable. ”
At a press conference (1:32), Denis Shmygal, Prime Minister of Ukraine, said on March 4, 2021, that “vaccination in Ukraine is voluntary, so there can be no restrictions or coercion. It must be your own desire. Opinion polls show that 43% are ready to be vaccinated, and the rest of the population needs additional communication, arguments, justifications as to why this is important. After all, global immunity is formed in 70% of people who have either acquired immunity or acquired immunity through vaccination. Therefore, our maximum goal is 70% vaccination, according to our epidemiologists. ”
Third. If we turn to the Ukrainian legislation, then according to the Act On Protection of Population from Infectious Diseases, Article 12, preventive vaccinations against diphtheria, pertussis, measles, polio, tetanus, tuberculosis are mandatory and are included in the vaccination calendar, but vaccination against Covid-19 is not listed as mandatory. Therefore, physicians cannot be suspended if they refuse or evade Covid-19 vaccination, as it is not a mandatory preventive vaccination.
Moreover, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Order of 24.12.2020, adopted the Roadmap for the Introduction of Covid-19 Vaccine Caused by SARS-CoV-2, and Mass Vaccination in Response to the Covid-19 Pandemic in Ukraine in 2021-2022, which states that “vaccination against Covid-19 in Ukraine will be voluntary for all people and occupational groups.”
- The international community and the Ukrainian government have never made official statements or issued official orders regarding “compulsory and even more violent vaccination,” as Natalia Korolevska claims.
- The deputy’s message is a fake and manipulation aimed at discrediting both the government and the vaccination process.
