Russian propaganda is massively spreading information that language inspectors in Ivano-Frankivsk will transfer to the TCC the data of the parents of those children who speak Russian.
As “proof”, agitprop publishes a photo of an advertisement that is allegedly placed in one of the local schools. However, in reality, there are no such posters in Ivano-Frankish schools. Details of this throw-in are in the material.
Fake
The poster, the photo of which is widely distributed by Russians, says that from now on, language inspectors will be on duty in Ivano-Frankivsk schools – students of grades 9-11. They should correct those children who speak Russian and report such students to the teachers.
And if five comments are accumulated from the inspector on duty, the student’s parents will be called to the school to “discuss the situation.” In addition, all information about such a family will be transferred to the TCC for updating the data, the announcement on the poster says.
“You agree, the Ukrainian government only benefits from such decisions: it is possible not only to fight with the Russian language, but also to increase the number of mobilized people,” ironically propagandists in their posts (in the original language).
It should be noted that since October 28, language inspectors have been working in Ivano-Frankivsk. The mayor of the city, Ruslan Martsinkiv, told about this on the air of TRC “Tower”. http://surl.li/lidtyw
According to him, 40 residents of the city became volunteers, who will work exclusively in the legal field. They will not catch Russian-speakers, will not punish them for using Russian, but will monitor compliance with language legislation and popularize the study of the Ukrainian language. That is, language inspectors do not have any punitive powers, such as detaining people or handing over personal information.
At the same time, Martsinkiv did not say anything about the introduction of language inspectors in the city’s schools. http://surl.li/slnefe
There is no information about this on the website of the Department of Education and Science of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council http://surl.li/wytuyr
We contacted the department’s press service for a comment, where they confirmed that there are no such posters in the city’s schools and that high school students do not work as language inspectors.
CONCLUSIONS
In Ivano-Frankivsk schools, schoolchildren do not work as language inspectors, and the photo of the poster distributed by propagandists was faked by the Russians in a photo editor.
Similar remarks about the “Russophobia” of Ukrainians systematically appear in the information space. The Russians are trying to justify the attack on Ukraine and war crimes against Ukrainians with such excuses. In addition, such fakes are aimed at discording the Ukrainian-speaking and Russian-speaking population of Ukraine and disrupting the mobilization processes in Ukraine.
