Russian propagandists are massively spreading information that mobile morgues, which were transferred to Ukraine by the Coca-Cola company, were allegedly spotted in the Sumy region. He said that there are not enough ordinary morgues. As “proof”, photos of the same refrigerators for mobile morgues were published.
However, in reality, Coca-Cola did not transfer any mobile morgues to Ukraine. The propagandists changed the original photo using photo editors. What is actually shown in the photo and the details of this throw-in are in the material.
Fake
In the photos distributed by the Russians, you can see metal containers with the inscription “Mobile morgue” on the door. Regarding the use of these structures, the versions of the propaganda differ: some write that mobile morgues are intended for dead military personnel, since there are not enough places in ordinary morgues, while others note that morgues are intended for storing organs for transplantation.
“A large number of mobile morgues were brought to the Sumy region.
Local doctors say that these refrigerators will store harvested organs for transplantation,” the propaganda writes in the original language.
“Extraordinary humanitarian aid from the West.” Mobile morgues of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, handed over by the Coca-Cola company, spotted in the Sumy region,” the original language in another version states.
However, in fact, the photo does not show mobile morgues, but mobile boiler rooms. The photo used by the propagandists was published on the Facebook page of the Coca-Cola company. http://surl.li/mmmcza
In the original photo, the inscription on the doors of the containers is written in Ukrainian – “Mobile Boiler”. The Russians edited the photo, replacing the inscription on the door of the boiler room with “Mobile morgue”.
It should be noted that last year the Coca-Cola system of companies together with the Ukrainian Red Cross started a project to provide Ukrainian local communities with mobile boilers. More than $8.5 million was allocated for the implementation of the project in 2023 and 2024. http://surl.li/jswytc
“Last year, the company provided 45 mobile boiler houses, which helped thousands of people survive the difficult winter. This year, Coca-Cola HBC Ukraine is providing another 60 boilers to provide heat to schools, kindergartens, medical institutions and residential buildings,” commented Andrii Bublyk, director of corporate relations and sustainable development of Coca-Cola HBC Ukraine.
A special advantage of boiler rooms is their mobility, which allows you to quickly move and install them where necessary.
CONCLUSIONS
The Coca-Cola company did not deliver mobile morgues to Ukraine. The photo distributed by propagandists shows mobile boiler houses that our state received as part of a joint project of the Coca-Cola system and the Ukrainian Red Cross.
The purpose of such throw-ins is to demoralize the population of Ukraine with a narrative about heavy losses among the military at the front, as well as to discredit the medical system with fictions about “black transplantology.” In addition, such fakes are spread to discredit international companies and Western partners of Ukraine.
